Foot Bath is one of the best remedies for alleviating foot soreness. Soak your feet in warm water with Epsom salts, or a warm, wet towel, and wrap it around your feet and legs for 10 minutes.

 

Elevate Your Feet

This is one of the simplest methods that you can do at home to relieve the soreness on your feet. This can be done by sitting with the feet up on a footstool or chair for 15-20 minutes.

 

Stretching

Stretching will help to alleviate the tightness of stress muscles. Do this by sitting in a comfortable position. Then flex your toes, point them, and then curl them for a few seconds. You can also extend your legs and move your toes around. Gently roll your ankles and toes in circles. Do these for 10 to 20 seconds and this is best to do after a foot bath.

 

Exercise Your Feet

  • Using your toes, pick up an object or marbles and move them from one side to another.
  • Lift your heels off the ground by rising up on your toes.
  • Using a frozen water bottle roll them using the bottom of your feet.

 

Check Your Shoes

Your shoes need to be the right size and shape as this could cause foot pain. Make sure you wear proper shoes for a certain activity and your shoes are wide enough and deep enough in the toe box.

Applying Ice


For people experiencing pain in the joints of their feet due to trauma, infection, inflammation, arthritis, bursitis, or gout, it is best to apply ice to it. Apply ice to the affected area for 5 to 15 minutes a few times a day and this will help in reducing inflammation that causes soreness.

First, soak your feet in warm water for a few minutes, and then rub corn or callus with a pumice stone, nail file, emery board, or washcloth to help remove a layer of toughened skin. Make sure the corn is fully submerged for about 10 minutes or until the skin softens.

 

Massage Your Feet

Massage your feet or have someone massage your feet. This will help soreness and improve circulation. Sit down in a comfortable chair and massage your feet gently pressing on any sore areas. Apply some lotion or oil to help lubricate your skin and make it easier to massage your foot.
